Susie-Blue live at Cafe Soul

My colleague Bryan and I thoroughly enjoyed Susie-Blue's performance at Cafe Soul tonight in Londonderry. She has a great voice and I really enjoyed hearing her own tracks as well some cracking cover-versions. My favourite was Lisbeth: http://susie-blue.bandcamp.com/track/lisbeth

Anyway, onto the shot. The venue was really dark, but luckily I had the 50mm f/1.2 handy. Combine this with ISO1600 on the 1DsIII and -1 EV you get a just about handholdable 1/40s! I could have used flash, but that would have killed the feel of the shot.

This was a fairly heavy crop - I loved Susie's expression here as she glanced out of the window.
