Angelic Luke

My colleague, Luke, had a this fun idea for a photo! Really had to push the X100 to the limit for this shot - ISO 3200 due to night conditions & used slow-sync flash to give some exposure for the background whilst lighting Luke.

Despite pushing the little X100, the resulting photo is surprising clean unless you start pixel-peeping.

Christina and Sally

A couple of portraits on my new acquisition - the Fuji X100. These ladies were kind enough to pose for me while I fumbled my way round the still unfamiliar buttons on the Fuji.

Despite not being really used to it yet, I'm rapidly falling for the Fuji - I wouldn't take it in preference to an SLR but it is great for street photography and it is refreshing to be able to get quality pictures without lugging round lots of gear.

X100 Panorama

This is a panorama taken at Summer Leys this afternoon. Summer Leys is a nature reserve in Northamptonshire, UK.

The panorama was taken using the special mode on the Fuji X100. You choose the angle (120 or 180 degrees) and then carefully pan the camera. It stitches several shots together seemlessly to create the final image.

It's worth clicking - through to see this larger!

X100 First Play

Sacrificed a lesser-used lens to fund a Fujifilm X100. It is so small and discrete you can snap away right next to subjects in the street!  Camera was round my neck at the time of shooting.
