I've decided to attempt the 2016_52 challenge having not completed one since 2010!
Each week a topic is picked and all participants attempt to take a shot matching the title.
Week 1 was metal. Thought I'd try and get some molten metal! Used a 70D on a tripod (useful having the articulated screen!) and a 580EX2 off camera on a stand. Manual focussed, put it on a timer and tried to get lots of smoke!
Really tricky getting this little guy's eyes perfectly in focus - I braced against a fence and slowly adjusted my distance whilst on live view. I certainly appreciated the articulated screen.
Sorry I've not posted for a while - miserable weather has kind of left me a little uninspired! However, today the light was lovely and I decided to see what I could get out of my x100s in Macro mode.
FUJIFILM X100S, f/4 @ 23 mm, 1/320, ISO 200, No Flash
I saw this in France. I've included a 100% crop so you can see the spider spinning the thread. In case you wondered, yes I do recommend the Zeiss 100mm Makro!
