The thoughtful ballerina

A large softbox was positioned to camera left shooting parallel to the mirrored wall.

Used a split toning preset in LR and then tweaked the sharpness, exposure and added a vignette.

Hannah ballet pose

This was tricky to light! I used two strip boxes either side of Hannah for rim-lighting and a large Octobox high camera left for fill. This made her hair disappear into the background so I added a gridded reflector shooting from behind over the top of the background.

I ended up happy with the light and shadows and Hannah's pose is excellent!

Hannah Ballet Silhuoette

@Lencarta

Had a great shoot with the ballerina Hannah this evening. Will be sharing a number of shots over the coming days - thought I'd start with this silhuoette.

I lit this very simply - two flashguns with reflectors on the rear wall. I then darkened Hannah to black and used the magic extractor in PSE to cutout her silhuoette.

To give the shot some depth and context I blended some of the floor back in.
