Golden evening light

There was some beautiful evening light seeping across a farmer's fields as I drove home from Wales tonight. Couldn't resist grabbing a couple of snaps!

Bluebells

I am very very impressed with the XF 60mm f/2.4 Macro - makes a great portrait lens, but on this occasion I fancied snapping some bluebells!

Sulgrave Manor

I recently took the bold step and swapped by Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 L for the a Zeiss 21mm ZF. ZF means the Nikon version, so I attach it to my cameras with an adaptor.

This lens is very crisp corner to corner (the Canon zoom, whilst excellent, does soften at the edge of the frame somewhat). I love the colours and the rendering. I can't wait to use it at the coast during the summer!

This shot was about f/11 IIRC (the ZF lens doesn't report the aperture to a Canon camera) and I used 0.9 Soft Grad from Lee Filters to darken the sky.

Daisies

This might be over-saturated as I'm working on a laptop but....

The Old Polar Treatment

I used the Lightroom Preset 'Old Polar' to process this shot.

Daffodil!

Used the lovely 135L wide open - mix of sunlight and a dash of flash.

Flower Bed

Medium Telephoto at extremely wide aperture (85mm @ f/1.2) gives a 3-D look. Is the Canon 85mm f/1.2 L the best lens ever made?

Overdone Daffodil HDR

I've seriously overcooked this one - you can tell by the halos all over the place, but I kind of like the effect anyway!
