Sunset at the Quay Hotel, Conwy
In Conwy on business. Snapped this one at f/2 on the 85mm f/1.2 L just to prove to Bob that the aperture on my lens is not stuck at 1.2!
Three shots blended in Photomatix on Painterly.

Flower Bed
Medium Telephoto at extremely wide aperture (85mm @ f/1.2) gives a 3-D look. Is the Canon 85mm f/1.2 L the best lens ever made?

Ornate chair back @ f/1.2!
Thanks to my colleague, Lina, for the idea for the shot!
Testing the legendary Canon 85mm f/1.2L II - this (and it's sibling the 50mm f/1.2) are the fastest lenses Canon make - that is they have the largest maximum aperture and suck in loads of light!
Shooting wide open gives a very thin depth of field and blurred foreground / background. All that light gathering means lots of glass and contributes to the nickname of this lens as 'The Keg"!
A review is here.

Ladybird and Bokeh!
Bokeh is the lovely out of focus background!
I took this hand-held using live-view. The dof was so thin getting the ladybird sharp was a challenge. I rocket slowly back and forward on 10x magnification and time the shutter carefully!
