Overdone Daffodil HDR
I've seriously overcooked this one - you can tell by the halos all over the place, but I kind of like the effect anyway!

Accordian Candid
I snapped this using the Manual Focus Zeiss using focus confirm to check the subject was correctly in focus. Manual conversion to B&W in Lightroom adjusting blacks, contrast, clarity and adding a subtle toning to the shadows.

Bug on leaf
A steady hand was needed for this shot - it was blowing in the wind and I was hand-holding a manual focus lens!

2012_52 Week 8 - Handmade
Hmm - got a little behind with the 52, must catch up!
I tried several times to shoot this and found it tricky to get the lighting right - I was aiming for strong illumination on one side and hints of shadow detail on the other.
I kept getting glares and hot-spots so eventually I went for a diffused 40cm dish and a reflector.

Souq B&W candid
You could argue that the subject looking out of the frame draws the viewers eye from the shot, but I quite like it anyway!

Katara Amphitheatre
Hi all - sorry it's been a while since my last post - been busy with a number of things.
In this shot I was trying to draw the view through the shot and give a sense of scale with the man in the centre of the frame. I also processed it to accentuate the difference in the light quality from the shadows to the evening sunlight.
